The Journey
For three thousand years, the resin of a single stubborn tree was worth more than gold. It travelled north from Dhofar to the temples of the ancient world along a road of oases and walled cities. We give you that road — but at a pace, and in a privacy, that no caravan ever knew.
You begin in Muscat among the silversmiths, sail the Musandam fjords by private dhow, then fly south to Salalah where the monsoon turns the mountains improbably green. You walk the frankincense groves with the family that has tended them for generations, and dine where the incense was first weighed for the journey north.
